Kosha Dillz

June 18, 2010

I would like to introduce a great friend of mine who is quickly becoming a very well know hip hop artist…he is going on tour with Snoop Dogg this summer! His stage name is Kosha Dillz, but his real name is Rami. I am not sure which is bigger, his talent or his heart. He is willing to help anyone, including 3 helpless kitties. Kosha is Jewish and chooses to only eat Kosha brand meats. One of the things that can be difficult as an artist of any type, is finding people to believe in you and what you can offer the world. A lot of people who do really well in show biz have agents or record companies promoting them. Kosha has done all of it by himself with the support of friends and family. If you are into hip hop, I suggest you check him out. He is FRESH! I have photographed two of his shows as well as one amazing portrait session at Saltair. Jon Woodbury was kind enough to come along and assist as well as  shoot with me-the results are awesome. To check out more of Kosha go here. To see Jon’s photos from the shoot go here. I am about ready to tell you the coolest part about this post…are you ready?  REALLY?  You really have to watch the slideshow because the song in the slideshow is one that Kosha wrote just for ME! I LOVE IT. Enjoy!

I did a portrait session of this adorable family last year and then had the awesome privilege to photograph them again this year. I wanted to post this session today because the baby bump you see in the pictures is now gone. Yes…the little one arrived a few days ago. Congratulations!

What do you get when you have two photographers, 3 lights, one camera, 12 degree weather, a darling family and TEN MINUTES? An impromptu photo session in-between jobs and a few cute pictures to send out to family for Christmas cards. Wow….it is amazing that anything turned out! I have to give Jon and Lori props though, because they are also in the photo biz so they were great at posing on their own while I got the attention of little missy! To see behind the scenes at this shoot watch this clip.

Shearer Family

Untitled-1TWOGWENNcuteALLI-129all-126-116-75-74 I love it when families work on details of the shoot with me beforehand. Things like wardrobe, hair accessories, tights, shoes, sweaters, hair, makeup and selecting the location of the shoot make A HUGE difference in the outcome of the photos. Meet the Shearer Family. They were a perfect example of one of those families that prepared well in advance and they have gorgeous pictures to show for it. (Not to mention the kiddos are so freaking cute, plus they picked a pretty cool photographer too.) Next time you book a shoot, whether it be a wedding, family, or senior session please take the time to plan the details in advance. I am good, but lets face it…I am not THAT good! :0)

Here are some photos that I took of The Sold By An Angel Real Estate Team. These photos are going to be used for their business cards, marketing materials and website. These ladies have a selling average of about two homes per week. That is unheard of! I am so lucky to be able to work with them both through my photography and also with my future real estate needs. To see behind the scenes footage of the shoot, go here.

The long awaited photo video is here! Thank you so much to www.nathanpickettfilms.com for the gorgeous video. Nathan is so amazing to work with and just take a look at his videos, they ROCK! They are modern, fun, vibrant and feel more like a music video than something a videographer from Utah put together! The makeup, hair, and wardrobe styling was provided by the fabulous Kimi Copenhaver and thank you to my gorgeous models Shannon and Jace. Enjoy…and remember if you are looking for a pretty cool duo, book both Nathan and me early…we won’t disappoint you!

Car Trouble Anyone???

January 16, 2009

There will be no car trouble in your neighborhood with this guy around, but maybe just trouble! He’s handy, and not so bad to look at either. I LOVE this classic car and the license plate even says, Route 66. You can’t get a better set up than this.

M and M

November 7, 2008

Monique and Max, Max and Monique….inseparable and two of my favorite duos to photograph. I mean just look at them! Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Max was wearing an authentic Indian outfit, and it suited him well. He spent most of the shoot running around with me chasing behind him trying to snap a few shots, meanwhile his mom chasing behind me trying to get his attention using any means possible. Food, bribery, funny noises, etc. Well, the results are in, he is cute and we got some great shots. Don’t you think so?

Bathing Beauties

July 17, 2008

I often have people ask me what kind of camera to purchase to achieve “great” photos. A super expensive camera is just that unless you know how to use it. You can take great photos using almost any type of camera. The lighting, composition, posing of the subject, and background are all to be considered when taking great photographs. The two photos in this post are not my absolute “favorite” photos that I have ever taken, however I wanted to post them because I used a point and shoot camera while out on the lake (I don’t haul my nice camera everywhere I go) and voile!-some lovely photos of two bathing beauties.

Lovely Lady

I photograhed this lovely “grandma” for her kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. How beautiful is she?
